Quicksilver after Interleaf Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well during this crazy time. I was sorry to hear about the recent deaths in the Interleaf family. I recently joined Interleft as I have sadly finished working on Interleaf/QuickSilver after just over 30 years and thought it was finally time to join so that I don’t have to keep getting the news from others. I am writing to express my thanks to the Interleaf team as I feel it is the end of an impactful 30 years. I started with Interleaf in March of 1990 as a QA Engineer and ended my time with QuickSilver in November of 2020 as the person responsible for all aspects of QuickSilver and our customers. I want to thank all those who first developed Interleaf as it is a great product that is still in use by many customers. To everyone I worked with at Interleaf through the years, I appreciate all that I learned from you and the friendships made along the way. In the end, a small group of us maintained, enhanced, and supported QuickSilver. Each member of the small group had a tenure of 20+ years with Interleaf/BroadVision, a few a tad longer than my 30 years. Last year BroadVision was sold to Aurea Software and they do not tend to keep employees of companies they acquire. After helping with the transition, the few of us remaining are no longer working on QuickSilver. The only exception is that the small team of Moscow contractors, also long-time Interleaf team members, are still working for Aurea for now. I fear for the future of QuickSilver but feel grateful for the years I have worked on it and for the many people I have met along the way. I am now looking for my next opportunity so if anyone hears of an available Program/Project Manager position please let me know. Take care, stay well, and let’s hope the year continues to improve. My son is getting married in September in Tennessee, and I hope to get the vaccination before then! Theresa
